How much is your home worth today?

If you are thinking about selling your home, you've likely asked yourself, "What could I get for my house today if I were to sell it?"

What is a "Zestimate"? If you are familiar with the website, you've probably heard of a "Zestimate", or an "estimate" on what a national website thinks your house is worth. It's a good theory, but if you rely too heavily on this number, you could be loosing thousands of dollars. Here's how:

On Zillow's own website, it states that the median error rate of the "Zestimate" is 8%. EIGHT PERCENT! That's an $8,000 difference if your house is worth $100,000! We don't know about you, but $8,000 is a lot of money, especially for someone looking to get as much money possible when selling their home.
